Event : Her Health, Her Power💪🏽👏🤝
What an amazing event with so many people coming to attend. The EMC is incredibly overjoyed with the experience and continues to welcome the community to engage and network for such causes like this.

Dr. Dorcus (Dee) Ruhigisha, MD, is a dual certified Family physician both by the American and Canadian board of Family physicians. She graduated from the University of Alabama Residency program in Alabama, USA.
She is experienced in managing chronic conditions, women’s health, Pediatrics and mental health. She has a deep seated passion of taking care of families as a whole and seeing them thrive.
She is a multilingual skilled in speaking different languages including French, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, Luganda and Kirundi. Outside work; Dr. Dee is a mother and a wife; enjoys family time, traveling and tasting different cuisines.

Dr. Anne Bello, Registered Social Worker (RSW), Psychotherapist
Education: PhD in Social Work, MSW, Honours BSW.
Certified EMDR Therapist & Approved EMDR Consultant | Certified Trauma Therapist | Certified Positive Psychology Practitioner | Certified Anger Management Therapist (NAMA Approved)
Dr. Bello provides client-centered counselling to adults, couples, and young adults navigating personal, emotional, and workplace challenges. She supports clients in building resilience, improving wellbeing, and developing practical strategies to manage stress and life transitions.
She integrates evidence-based approaches including CBT, trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, EMDR, and Compassionate Inquiry to help clients process difficult experiences and create meaningful change.
Dr. Bello works with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship challenges, and workplace stress or burnout. She is known for her calm, compassionate presence and for creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to move forward.

In case you missed it, Dr. Bello was incredible with her grounding exercises and meditation. She is one with the earth and surroundings and she invites audiences to be grounded and fill the spaces they are in through Stillness and openness. Her presentations are always engaging and she covered some topics the audience was captivated by.

With expert insights from Dr. Dee, MD, Certified Family Physician; Dr. Bello, PhD, Social Worker & Psychotherapist; and Joy Ruhigisha, MA, Mental Health and Family Psychotherapist, this event offers practical tools to strengthen women’s health literacy and mental well‑being.

The Women’s Empowerment Series remind us of the strength we build together. Olami Roth delivered a powerful financial literacy presentation on Net Worth and Self Worth. What a Season! Youth Soccer with Edmonton Multicultural Coalition ⚽
From June to October, our amazing youth, ages 6 to 12, came together for a fun-filled soccer season! Boys and girls showed incredible teamwork, energy, and community spirit every practice and game. 💪
Through soccer, we celebrated not only skill and sportsmanship but also the power of diversity and friendship. A big thank you to all the players, parents, and volunteers who made this program possible, your enthusiasm and support kept the season going strong! ❤️

What a beautiful day it was! ✨
On September 27th 2025, we gathered at CISE for a vibrant celebration of culture. The day was filled with amazing performances, including dancing, singing, and drumming.
We were honored to welcome special guests such as MLA Christina Gray, Amanda Dawood from Dawood Law, MLA Jasvir Deol and MLA Gurtej Singh Brar.
