Rooted in Home Community Gathering: Métis Older Adults’ Care Needs
Métis older adults and caregivers are invited to share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives to help shape continuing care services for Métis communities, with a focus on supporting aging at home.

Who can join?
• Métis individuals 65+
• Caregivers of Métis older adults aged 15+
Participant Support:
Participants will receive a $100 honorarium, with mileage reimbursement and accommodations available for those travelling over 50 km. A child-minding station will also be provided.
Telephone interviews (40–60 minutes) are available for those who prefer to participate individually and include a $50 honorarium.

The Day Home Startup Pilot Program offers step-by-step support for new providers opening and operating a licensed day home.
The Métis Day Home Cultural Support Grant provides resources and funding to help existing licensed Métis day homes integrate Métis culture, including an early learning resource kit and access to specialized Métis ECE training

Thank you to the over 200 Métis Youth and their families who joined us in Calgary two weeks ago at our Second Annual Métis Games Festival! Through your enthusiastic participation, our next generation of Métis leaders celebrated their culture and camaraderie with dancing, playing, sports, and teamwork.
