Sigma Alpha Mu Scholarships: Supporting Jewish Students' Educational Goals!
Since the 1940s, Sigma Alpha Mu has been committed to fostering Jewish community and academic excellence. Although the fraternity disbanded in 1972, its legacy lives on through a scholarship fund for Jewish students in Edmonton pursuing a full-time degree.
💵 The 2026 scholarship amount is $1,000. Apply by June 30, 2026 to be considered!
📚 Eligibility:
-Jewish students attending post-secondary institutions in Edmonton
-Minimum of 3 full courses (or equivalent)
-Consideration is based on financial need and academic potential
📤 Application Requirements:
-A brief bio including connection to the Jewish community, academic history, and future plans
-Financial need statement, including a budget
-Academic transcripts (if available)
-Any additional letters of support
Jewish Family Services will review applications and notify recipients by August 4, 2026. Don't miss your chance to apply!
