Less than 2 weeks till our Halloween BOO-Nanza!

Saturday, October 31st, 2026
2-5 pm at La Perle Community Hall
18611 97 A Ave NW

Outside - Trunk or Treat & Hot Chocolate station.
We're looking for at least a half dozen people to hand out candy at our Trunk or Treat! You don't have to decorate your vehicle (or tent or table), but we will have a $50 Gift Card for the fan favorite! You bring the candy, we'll supply the Hot Chocolate!

Inside - Pizza Party, Games, Activities, Refreshments, & More. $20/Family (2 Adults + 3 kids under 18), $5/person. Let us worry about dinner before you go out Trick or Treating! Pop down to the Hall in your costumes for a pizza dinner, then play some Halloween-themed games, activities, and crafts, and collect stamps to trade in for a treat bag!

Grab a Treat Map from the Trunk or Treat, or the Registration table at the Hall, for all the must-see decorated homes around La Perle! Add your home to the map through the registration form below.

October in Edmonton can be unpredictable, but we're not giving up that easily! Less than 2 weeks till Halloween La Perle, get out there and get decorating. Whether you go all out, or put a pumpkin on your porch, we want to see your Halloween spirit!

October 19th is Election Day in Alberta.
Referendum Voting will be held at La Perle Elementary School, 18715 97A Ave NW, tomorrow from 9 am - 8 pm.

Be advised that the La Perle Community Hall is booked from 8 am - 4 pm for a private event. The parking lot will not be available for public parking during this time - please use the lot nearest to the school, or street parking.

Our first Fall Yard Waste Collection day is this upcoming Monday, October 19th.

Yard waste is collected twice in the fall, and twice in the spring. Our first autumn collection in La Perle is Monday, October 19th.

Our second collection date is Monday, November 16th.

Have items bagged or tied up curbside by 7 am for pickup.

Accepted materials:
Fallen leaves
Fallen fruit
Grass clippings (or leave them on the lawn)
Houseplants
Mulch and wood chips
Pine cones and needles
Sticks and twigs
Yard and garden trimmings
Weeds (except regulated/noxious weeds - put in garbage)
Branches (less than or equal to 20 centimetres in diameter)

Take tree stumps, trunks and large branches (greater than 20 centimetres in diameter) to an Eco Station. Drop off is free.

WE'RE HIRING - OUTDOOR RINK CREW MEMBERS

Help us keep the ice cold, the skates moving, and the neighbourhood playing!

La Perle Community League is looking for one or two awesome people from the neighbourhood to clear snow, flood the rinks, and maintain the ice so it's ready for skaters throughout the 2026/27 ice season.

If you love winter, don't mind the cold, enjoy working outdoors, and think there's something pretty special about watching a bunch of neighbourhood kids chase a puck around a sheet of ice — we might have the job for you!

This is a seasonal position for the 2026/27 winter season, with scheduling designed around rink conditions and weather.

On Advance Voting Days, Tuesday, October 13th, to Friday, October 16th, you can vote anywhere in your assigned Electoral Division. 9 am - 8 pm.
