Friendly visiting – Bringing Connection

Isolation and loneliness can be common among seniors living in rural communities throughout the Eastern Counties. Carefor’s Friendly Visiting Program brings connection, companionship and a sense of belonging into their lives.

A conversation over a cup of coffee. A shared laugh. Someone to listen and simply be there.

These moments may seem small, but they can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day and remind them that they are not alone.

Volunteer with Carefor and help bring friendship and connection to a senior in your community. Learn more https://carefor.ca/contact-us/volunteer/

Because connection matters at every age. https://carefor.ca/programs/friendly-visiting/

More Than a Meal – Meal on Wheels is wellness, connection & independence
For many seniors, having nutritious meals delivered to their door means more than simply having dinner taken care of. Carefor’s Meal Delivery Program helps seniors continue to live independently and age at home which is exactly where they want to be.
Our meal delivery service provides nutritious meals while also offering something just as important: connection. A friendly visit at the door can brighten someone’s day and provide reassurance that someone is there. Last fiscal year, Carefor delivered 64,837 meals to 2,880 seniors.
With the support of our dedicated staff and volunteers, we’re helping seniors stay nourished, connected and independent in the comfort of their own homes.
Because every meal is more than food. It’s a connection point. An opportunity to check in, share a smile and make sure someone is doing okay.
