Reminder! 🤓

10/19/2026

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic incident at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright on October 17.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives. We are thinking of those who were injured and their loved ones, and we hold in our thoughts the first responders and health-care teams who responded and continue to care for those affected.

As flags are lowered to half-mast at government buildings across Alberta, including our schools and division facilities, we join others in honouring those lost and standing with everyone impacted by this tragedy.

🍎 ℍ𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕪 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 𝕋𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕤' 𝔻𝕒𝕪! 🍎

Today, we celebrate the teachers who show up each day with patience, care, creativity and a belief in every student.

Teaching is about so much more than what happens in a classroom. It’s about encouraging a student who is struggling, celebrating a breakthrough, making someone feel seen and helping young people discover what they’re capable of.

To the teachers across Pembina Hills — 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾 for the knowledge you share, the relationships you build and the difference you make in the lives of our students every day.

𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾 for helping our students learn, grow and find their place in the world. 💙

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

Today we wear orange to honour the children who never made it home, remember residential school survivors and their families, and recognize the importance of listening, learning and moving forward together.

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, loved and respected. 🧡

🎃 WOW — What a Busy Week! 🍦🏃‍♀️

We had an action-packed week at Fort Assiniboine School!

Our K–6 students had a fantastic field trip to the Levy Pumpkin Patch, where they picked their own pumpkins, enjoyed a trip across the Athabasca River on the Klodike Ferry, and made another fun stop at the Mellowdale Corn Maze & Mellowdale Dairy. What a fun-filled day of adventure and memories! 🎃🚢🌽

We wrapped up the week with our Terry Fox Run. Even though the rain made for a very wet afternoon, our students and staff showed amazing spirit and determination! 🌧️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

A huge THANK YOU to:
🎃 The Levy Family for hosting us at the pumpkin patch
🌽 Mellowdale Dairy for welcoming us
🍔 DDC Trucking and Little Ranch Cafe for providing a wonderful lunch on Thursday
🍦 Allan and Joy O’Brien for treating everyone to ice cream after our very wet Terry Fox Run!

We are so grateful for the incredible support of our community. Thank you for helping make these special experiences possible for our students! ❤️
