Jurassic Forest The days of the dinosaurs are now roaring to life again at Jurassic Forest, a prehistoric preserve! Jurassic Forest is open from May until mid-October.

Take a trip back in time to the world of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures! Jurassic Forest and Learning Centre is an active learning park featuring over 60 life sized and realistic animatronic exhibits nestled into a 40-acre natural forest and wetland environment. We are located just minutes from Edmonton, but millions of years from the present. Journey down the Discovery Trails and meet massive and majestic herbivores such as Stegosaurus and Triceratops, while sneaking past lethal predators including Tyrannosaurus rex and Spinosaurus. You'll see many familiar dinosaur faces, and maybe meet some creatures you haven't heard of before! Children will enjoy digging for dinosaur bones, playing in the playground, and even taking a ride on a dinosaur. The Discovery Trails will take you through the forest, highlighting different kinds of ecosystems, and area perfect place to practice your nature photography skills. Jurassic Forest is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including birds, butterflies, flying squirrels and a resident moose! Amenities also include an interpretive center, concession, picnic areas, miniature golf course and gift shop. Special events and activities run all summer long, and details can be found on the website, www.jurassicforest.com

Albertosaurus lived in what is now Alberta about 70 million years ago. It was a close relative of the famous T. rex, but smaller and more lightly built.
