Great events deserve exceptional food! 🍽️

Did you know that when you book an event at Science North, you can also book catering?

Our preferred catering partner, Boy Gorgeous Catering Co, recently put together this amazing buffet for the Bluecoat Open in our Vale Cavern. And boy, was it gorgeous! 😉

From the food to the setup, here's a little look at what your next event at Science North could look like.

What a difference a new window makes! 🪟☀️

If you've visited Science North over the past few months, you've probably noticed the scaffolding along our ramp and windows outside. We're happy to share we've wrapped things up, and we have a pretty spectacular view to show for it!

Today, we celebrated the completion of our window renewal project, which included replacing nearly 400 panes of glass in our curtain wall and skylight.

After more than 40 years, our iconic snowflake-shaped building needed a little TLC! We've replaced aging, foggy windows, bringing back our beautiful view of Ramsey Lake while also addressing leaks and improving energy efficiency. The new windows will help reduce the energy needed to heat and cool our building.

This project also helps preserve an important part of Northern Ontario's history for future generations. And that's something our community can be proud of!

A big thank you to the Government of Ontario for supporting this project, to Bélanger Salach Architecture for their work on it, and to all our teams who kept the science going while the work was underway!

Next time you visit, take a moment to enjoy the view! ❄️

Live from Science North… It’s CURIOSITY AFTER DARK!

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a brand-new adults-only event series at Science North. Did you guess what our first theme was going to be? Well, we have something up our sleeve. Our first special guest is...

Drumroll please...🥁🥁🥁

THE ILLUSIONIST, Ryan McFarling - Magician, Mentalist & Trickster. 🪄 Our very first Curiosity After Dark experience will take you into a world where the impossible takes centre stage, then pull back the curtain to explore what’s behind the magic. And who knows? You might even pick up a new party trick or two.

Experience Ryan McFarling’s live illusion and mentalism show. Including Bluecoat demonstrations, audience interaction, and a behind-the-scenes conversation with Ryan about the tricks and techniques behind his craft. Grab a drink, play along with the show, then explore Science North after dark.
