Yesterday, Paul was recognized for 45 incredible years of volunteering with Special Olympics! 🏅

It all started with a simple ad in the newspaper, and just like that, 45 years have flown by. Time really does fly when you love what you do! ❤️

For those of us lucky enough to know Paul, we know how passionate he is about helping others and giving back to his community.

Congratulations, Paul! What an inspiring reminder that one small decision can lead to a lifetime of impact. 👏✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our People, Perspectives, Possibilities Symposium 2026.

A day of meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and fresh perspectives on disability, ableism, and inclusion.

Together, we challenged stereotypes, amplified voices, and explored how we can turn conversations into action to build more inclusive communities where everyone belongs.

Because when we invest in accessibility, we invest in a stronger, more inclusive community for everyone. đź’šThank you, Ont...

Today, on September 30, we observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This day gives Canadians the opportunity to reflect, learn, and participate in activities that acknowledge the tragic, painful, and ongoing impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous communities.

At , we honour the missing children and survivors of residential schools, their families, and their communities. We recognize the lasting harm caused by the residential school system and its continued impact on survivors, their families, and future generations. DSO remains committed to learning about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples and to supporting reconciliation.

You can show your support by:

🧡 Wearing an orange shirt to honour survivors
🧡 Attending a local event or commemorative ceremony
🧡 Learning about Indigenous histories, languages, and cultures

We recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡
We honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the lasting impact on Indigenous families and communities.
Reconciliation is an ongoing journey. Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and consider the role we can each play in moving forward together.
