Good morning Havre Boucher & area residents we have an important announcement to share. After 19 years extremely dedicated service not only to our department but our community Chief Roy Mackinnon & his wife Firefighter Sheila Mackinnon have decided it's time to hang up their helmets. To say we will miss them in our department is a understatement. This wonderful firefighting couple have done so much to help shape our department to where it's at now amd especially with building the great relationship we have with our community, from organizing our Firefighter's breakfast and ensuring everything went smoothly to playing a vital role in our Firefighter's picnic event and almost any other event we participated in. Your calm presence on scenes & during training will be missed along with all of Roy's dad jokes when hanging out at the hall. We have all learned so much from you both and we hope to continue to make you guys proud. The door is always open for you guys and we hope you'll stop by to visit. We hope you enjoy your retirement and know that you're both forever part of Havre Boucher Fire Department. “You spent your career answering the call. Now it’s time to let the phone go to voicemail "

We are a rural department with 19 members.

This photo was taken during a tour of a campground within our district that we done during one of our weekly training sessions. We have recently been lucky enough to gain more valuable members and with more members means you need more turnout gear which is very expensive but you can't put a price on safety.

If we won the money would go directly towards purchasing new turnout gear & other much needed equipment.
