Today we spent time in the north end of High River and in Montrose. High River is ready we knocked on lots of doors and people are ready to vote NO on the refrendum and are ready to vote NDP! We also met lots of people who voted for Danielle Smith and Chelsea Petrovic in 2023 but won't do it again!

💥💥Today’s the deadline to request special ballots!!! 💥💥

CRITICAL : You only have until Friday to request your mail-in ballots for the October referendum!

Make sure your friends, family, coworkers and acquaintances all have a plan to cast their vote in the October 19 referendum.

Separatists are motivated, and they will show up to vote. We need all proud Canadians to show up and vote YES to Canada and NO to the rest.

It’s time to show Danielle Smith and the UCP what we all know: Albertans are proud Canadians. Always have been. Always will be.

Today Livingstone-Macleod proved that come October 19th we will vote NO to this referendum. We had a massive turnout in Claresholm today for our Save Canada Rally with Naheed Nenshi and Kathleen Ganley.

After our Pro Canada Rally on September 19th we will be holding the Livingstone-Macleod NDP Annual General Meeting in Claresholm from 3:30-5pm on the same day as the Pro Canada Rally and we are hoping you can join us. Bev Toews has given hope to thousands of rural Alberta New Democrats after contesting the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills by-election in 2025. She is now the candidate for that district in 2027. Bev is a member of the Alberta NDP rural caucus and we are more then thrilled to have her as our guest speaker for the 2026 AGM!

It’s the first day of school for many Alberta students, with more coming back all week long.

To the students and families, have a great school year! Whether you’re nervous, excited, or sad about the end of summer, I’m wishing you a year of learning, growth, friendship and opportunity!

To the teachers, EAs, admin and staff, I know many are returning with mixed feelings. Last year was a difficult one, and many of us are still waiting for the improvements the government promised. And new laws like Bill 25 make it even harder.

But I also know you go to work every single day to improve the lives of your students, and I’m deeply grateful for all you do.

And keep those first-day pictures coming! They’re the best part of this time of year!

Change is in the air. We had the biggest NDP event in Livingstone-Macleod in High River since the 2023 election. We chatted about election 2027, boundaries, we ate pizza, and came together as a community.

We are ready to reject separatism and in 2027 we will take the fight to the UCP and Chelsea Petrovic and get new representation for LVMD!
