THE POOL IS COMING, THE POOL IS COMING!! 🎉

I know this has been a long journey, and at times, the finish line probably felt a long way off. But we had the opportunity to take a tour recently, and let me tell you, SO much progress has been made! It’s exciting to see everything coming together, and the end is finally in sight! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who has been patient and continued to look forward to the day we can enjoy this incredible facility.

The countdown is on, High River! 💦❤️

🗳️ A friendly reminder: Tomorrow, October 19, is the LAST day to vote!

Great job to everyone who has already headed out to make their voice heard! 👏 Every vote matters, so if you haven’t voted yet, there’s still time!

Make a plan to get out and vote tomorrow! 🇨🇦

Wow Alberta! Just wow. Keep them coming. Tomorrow October 19th is your last chance.

The curbside recycling program starts today across Alberta. In High River, the first curbside recycling pick-up date is Oct. 12, 2026 (Thanksgiving Day). Recycling will be collected every other Monday after that.

Collection will still happen on holidays that fall on a Monday, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. In those instances, there will be a modified collection date.

Please have your cart out by 7 a.m. on collection day.

Just an FYI

Heads Up, !
Due to the transition to a new financial software system, July and August utility bills have been delayed. Residents and homeowners can expect to receive their July and August utility bills by Oct. 2, 2026.

Due to the delay, the payment deadline has been extended to Oct. 20, 2026.

As we transition to the new system, your utility account number will be slightly different. More information about these changes can be found on the back of your invoice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.

I’ve spent this week at the ABmunis Convention in Edmonton. 😊

I am leaving feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect and continue advocating for the communities I’m so proud to represent.

While I attended in my role as Director of Towns South with Alberta Municipalities, I was also there as a Councillor for the Town of High River. Both roles are important to me, and I’m always looking for ways to bring what I learn back to our community and continue to be a strong voice for High River.

I’m also very honoured to have been acclaimed for another two-year term as Director of Towns South. I’m looking forward to continuing to represent and advocate for 30 municipalities across southern Alberta, including High River.

I’m truly thankful for the trust that has been placed in me. There is a lot of work ahead, but I’m excited to keep learning, listening and speaking up for the communities I represent.

Congratulations to the Kimsmen and Kinettes, the first 9 holes of High Rivers first disc golf course is open.
