WATER MAIN FLUSHING NOTICE 💧

The District of Hope Utilities Department will begin flushing water mains throughout Hope on Monday, November 2, 2026. Flushing will continue until all fire hydrants have been flushed.

During this work, you may notice changes in water pressure or temporary discolouration or sediment in your water. This is primarily an aesthetic issue and is not a health hazard.

If your water appears cloudy or discoloured, run a cold-water tap until it clears. We also recommend checking your water before doing laundry and keeping some water in the refrigerator for drinking and cooking.

For questions, please contact District Hall at 604-869-5671.
Thank you for your cooperation!

As Angela concludes her term on Council, we thank her for her time, commitment and contributions to Hope. We wish her all the best in the next chapter!

📢 Sewer Main Cleaning – Kawkawa Lake

The District of Hope Operations Department will be flushing sanitary sewer mains on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with work continuing throughout the day.

Only properties within the area shown on the accompanying map are affected.

Residents in the affected area are asked to:
• Close all toilet lids.
• Place a towel over each lid.
• Place a heavy object on top to help keep the lid closed.

Flushing uses high pressure water to remove grease and debris from sewer pipes. These precautions help reduce potential disruptions caused by back pressure during cleaning.

Thank you for your cooperation.
