With 6 stops in Lunenburg County (Bridgewater Esso, South Shore Centre, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Chester Basin Park and Ride (Exit 9) and Hubbards. There are lots of ways to get where you are to where you need to go. You could also use Chester Community Wheels or Lunenburg County Wheels to help you get to one of the bus stops. For those who have an afternoon flight (after 2 pm) Maritime Bus might be an inexpensive way to get to the airport.

Falls are a significant injury concern in Atlantic Canada, specifically for older adults. People living in rural communities may also experience additional challenges related to access to health care and support services, geographic isolation, environmental conditions and their ability to safely age in place.

The Falls Prevention and Ageing in Place in Rural Communities Project focuses on adults aged 50+ living in rural communities across Atlantic Canada. The Atlantic Collaborative on Injury Prevention (ACIP) is collecting lived experiences to better understand the physical, environmental, social and economic conditions that influence ageing in place and fall risk.

The findings will also help identify common patterns, barriers, and opportunities that can inform future fall prevention work.
