❤️ 40 Years of Caring. Countless Stories. What's Yours?

As we begin to wrap up a year of celebrating 40 years of the Humboldt District Health Foundation, we have been reflecting on the incredible impact our community has made on health care close to home.

For 40 years, generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and community partners have helped bring equipment, resources, and improvements to our local health care facilities. We've heard from health care staff about how this support makes a difference in the care they provide every day. But we know there's another important part of the story — the patients and families whose lives have been touched along the way.

October is Mental Health Awareness month.

Over 100 people gathered at McNab Regional Park for the annual J Walk in support of The Bee Well Project. A project that provides mental health toolkits and opens the conversations around mental health.

If there are three numbers to remember, it's these: 2--1-1. A powerful phone number that offers a tremendous amount of supports, in many languages.

Watson school will be the first to have the 2-1-1 decals placed in lockers and other areas throughout the school. The ultimate goal is to have all schools display the 2-1-1 decals.

💙 The Annual J Walk for Mental Health is happening this Saturday! 💙

Join us Saturday, October 3, 2026, at McNab Regional Park for this important community event. Proceeds from the J Walk support The Bee Well Project and its work to promote mental health and wellness in our community.

There are some great initiatives being announced this year, and we’re excited to share more!
