An important opportunity for our firefighters. 🚒

Killam Station members are encouraged to check out Empowering Minds with Ian Hill on September 23 in Forestburg. The evening will focus on mental health, connection and tools for supporting ourselves, our fellow firefighters and those around us.

See the post below for full details and registration.

First Responders are there when people need them most. But the experiences they carry can take a toll long after the call is over.

Join us for Empowering Minds with Ian Hill, an evening focused on mental health, connection, and learning how we can better support ourselves, our families, our coworkers, and our community.

Wednesday, September 23
6:00–8:00 PM
Forestburg Community Hall
Supper provided
Free and open to the public

Registration is required. Reserve your spot here:

Come for the conversation. Leave with tools, perspective, and a reminder that no one has to face their struggles alone.

Proud to see members of FRESS Killam Station taking part in this specialized grain bin entrapment training alongside Lougheed and Hardisty firefighters. 🚒🌾

Training like this helps our crews build the skills and experience needed to respond safely and effectively to emergencies in our rural communities. Great work by everyone involved!

🚒 Killam Station is sharing this important update from Flagstaff Regional Emergency Services.

A Fire Restriction is now in effect across Flagstaff County. Please take a moment to read the notice and follow the restriction closely.

Conditions can change quickly, and your caution helps reduce unnecessary fire risk for our crews and communities.

Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.

🚨 Fire Restriction Now in Effect 🚨

A Fire Restriction is now in effect for all municipalities in Flagstaff County.

Under this restriction:

🔥 All existing fire permits are suspended
🔥 No new fire permits will be issued
🔥 All existing open burns must be extinguished
🔥 Fireworks are prohibited

Certain activities remain permitted, including safe wood campfires in approved fire pits, propane fire pits, gas or propane stoves and barbecues, and burning barrels with proper metal mesh screens.

Please use extra caution. Never leave a campfire unattended, and always soak it, stir it, and soak it again until it is cool to the touch.

This Fire Restriction will remain in effect until further notice.

Please see the notice below for full details.

💧 A huge thank you to everyone at the Killam branch of Vision Credit Union Ltd. for their generous donation of eight 24-packs of water!

This water will be used by our firefighters while out on calls, helping them stay hydrated and prepared to serve our communities. 🚒💦
