Grief can feel deeply isolating, especially when it feels like the rest of the world keeps moving forward. You don’t have to carry the weight of loss all by yourself.

Our Women’s Bereavement Support Group offers a safe, gentle, and confidential space to process your loss. Led by trained volunteer facilitators, our upcoming sessions run weekly in both Cranbrook and Kimberley. Each week, we will explore a different topic—from managing tough emotions to navigating special dates—to help guide your journey alongside women who understand. If you are interested please call the hospice office.

We are excited to be sharing with you that registration is now open for our FREE one-day conference called, Let's Talk Masculinity, taking place on November 30, 2026, at the Kimberley Conference Centre.

ALL GENDERS WELCOME!

This conference will feature 4 workshops, of which you can choose 2, and a keynote speech from an organization called Next Gen Men, which aims to challenge the way colonial culture thinks about masculinity as a means of improving the well-being of boys and men, and the prevention gender-based violence. The keynote address titled, “Beyond Male Allies,” will invite attendees to step back from individual behaviours and see the bigger picture – the inherited stories and unspoken rules that shape how men move through the world, and what it costs them to live inside those scripts. The workshops will be geared towards service providers, coaches, teachers, leaders in male dominated workplaces and industries, and others who work with boys and men, and will be focused on promoting positive masculinity, supporting boy’s and men’s mental health, and supporting men to be allies in gender equity work and preventing gender-based violence.

Workshop registration includes registration for the Keynote.

**The Keynote is open to the public, and can be registered for separately, if you are not a educator or service provider, or leader in male dominated workplaces and industry but want to attend for only the Keynote.

Next Gen Men is a small-but-mighty Canadian nonprofit whose work is dedicated to one ambitious thing—to change how the world sees, acts and thinks about masculinity. They bring together perspectives from across North America, across genders, and across backgrounds to talk about why we all have a stake in the future of masculinity. Next Gen Men are champions of hope, and workers for change. We are thrilled to be partnering with Next Gen Men to bring you this culture shifting opportunity!
Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions!!

Looking forward to seeing you there!
