Any fitness people out there? 👀💪

If you work out, you know that going to the gym can be about so much more than just physical health. It can be a way to clear your mind, build confidence, create a routine, and have a space to focus on yourself.

For youth experiencing homelessness, access to that kind of space can make a meaningful difference.

For $128, you can sponsor a youth with a 3-month gym membership at Crunch Fitness, giving them an opportunity to prioritize their physical and mental well-being while working toward bigger goals like housing, employment, education, and stability.

Because sometimes, taking care of yourself is the first step toward moving forward. ❤️

A mental health journey isn’t linear. For youth experiencing homelessness, taking things day by day can sometimes mean simply having a safe place, someone to talk to, and support when they need it most. 💙

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, we honour the children, youth, families, and communities who have been impacted by Canada’s residential school system, and we recognize that the effects of this history continue to be felt today.

The legacy of residential schools, along with ongoing systemic barriers and intergenerational trauma, continues to impact Indigenous communities — including Indigenous youth experiencing housing instability and homelessness.

According to the Government of Canada, 55% of Indigenous respondents experiencing homelessness reported that they first experienced homelessness as a child or youth.

At oneROOF, we believe every young person deserves a safe place to call home. Today, we reflect, we listen, and we commit to continuing the work of creating safer, more equitable communities for Indigenous youth and all youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
