Lacombe Heritage

A tangible benefit of having your home designated as a Municipal Historic Resource is the opportunity to receive grant funds for conservation work. The Heritage Resources Commiittee of the City of Lacombe as well the MPPP of the province of Alberta contributed approximately 60% of the cost of repainting this entire house as well as the replacement of the grey vinyl shingles in the one gable end to the original type of shingles. It looks so good now!! If you own a heritage property in Lacombe, consider this designation. Contact the Heritage Resources Committee via DM and we will help you through this exciting process.

It was a great day this week, on September 10th, to celebrate with the homeowners of the Stewart Residence, the Municipal Historic Resource designation on their home! This is the 16th designation of a heritage property within the City of Lacombe !!

What a great day to celebrate the 15th Municipal Historic Resource within the City of Lacombe ! Thanks to the owners of the "Garland Residence" located on 53rd street, downtown Lacombe. Thanks to city council for the approval of the bylaws required and to the Heritage Resources Committee for their work to help make it happen!
