Friday is Dress-Up Day for our students with a fun Halloween Parade around the school at 9am followed by fun in the classrooms. We are excited to see all the creative and fun costumes!

A couple reminders:
* Costumes should be school-appropriate and suitable for all elementary aged children.
* Students wearing bulky or uncomfortable costumes may wish to bring a change of clothes.

Today, some of our classes had the chance to try Taekwondo. Thank you, Master Jung's Taekwondo Academy, for providing the opportunity to our students.

Well done grade 5s.

Mme Gray implemented some of the oral communication strategies we explored as a staff during our professional learning days this week. The student selected a new French name for themselves and engaged in oral language activities to practise their speaking skills in an authentic setting. This is what professional learning is all about!

Our Ecole Agnes Davidson staff had a great time learning about the SCERTS model to support social communication for students with autism. We also analyzed our government data to examine ways in which we can scaffold French oral language acquistion as a whole school community to further build our student’s vocabulary. Two excellent learning days for our staff.

As we prepare for our Terry Fox walk on Friday, students at École Agnes Davidson have been learning about courage. Terry Fox showed incredible courage, and cancer treatment requires courage every step of the way. Our students have been reflecting on the moments in their own lives when they need courage, with each shoe representing the courage of a student.

We’re getting closer to our fundraising goal, but we still need your help!

Donate at school or online: 👉 https://schools.terryfox.ca/136801

Together, let’s keep Terry’s legacy moving forward, one courageous step at a time. ❤️🍁
