403.328.5525 We’re home to 10,120 people who live in our hamlets, subdivisions and rural areas. Those who call Lethbridge County home are hard-working, community-minded and take great pride in making the County an excellent place to live, work and invest. The agriculture industry is an economic driver not only for the County, but the entire region, generating nearly $4 billion annually. We have seen tremendous growth in agriculture since the County’s incorporation in 1964, and well before that, too. Irrigation has allowed for high-value crops to be grown (potatoes, corn, canola) alongside dryland staples like wheat and barley. We’re also home to one of the highest concentrations of feedlots and livestock in Canada. We are approximately 200 km south of the City of Calgary and 100 km north of the United States border, surrounded by the Blood Tribe and Municipal District of Willow Creek to the west, Vulcan County to the north, the Municipal District of Taber to the east, and Cardston County and the Municipal District of Warner to the south. 🌾 Know a farm family worth celebrating?

Nominations are open for the 2027 BMO Farm Family Award, recognizing a Lethbridge County farm family that not only contributes to agriculture, but gives back to their community too.

We know there are plenty of families across the County who quietly put in the workβ€”on their farms, in their communities and across our agriculture industry. Help us give one of them the recognition they deserve!

To be eligible, the family must:
🚜 Work in primary agriculture
🏑 Live on their farm in Lethbridge County
🌾 Earn their main income from farming
🀝 Give back to their community and agriculture

Nominate a deserving farm family by Saturday, October 31.

The Agricultural Service Board will select one family to represent Lethbridge County and be recognized at the Calgary Stampede in July 2027.

πŸ‚ Strong roots. Vibrant communities. Plenty to be thankful for.

This Thanksgiving, we're reflecting on the people who make Lethbridge County such a great place to live, work and grow.

From the families who have called this region home for generations to the businesses and entrepreneurs building its future, our strength comes from the people who invest their time, talents and energy into our communities.

Our farmers and ranchers, local businesses, volunteers, community organizations and neighbours all play a part in making our region strong, welcoming and vibrant.

We're grateful for the people, partnerships and community spirit that make Lethbridge County what it is todayβ€”and help shape what it will become tomorrow.

From all of us at Lethbridge County, Happy Thanksgiving! 🧑

Last night Friends of St. Joseph School Coaldale AB celebrated the completion of the St. Joseph School Coaldale Kinsmen Recreation Space!

This project has provided a great new space for play in Town of Coaldale. ☺️

We’re proud to have played a small role in supporting this community enhancement through our Stirling Wind Project Community Benefit Grant. Projects like this benefit not only the students at St. Joe’s, but also the regional community as a whole.
