🍂⏰It’s almost time to FALL BACK!

After all these late nights cheering on the Brewers, we could all use a little extra sleep! ⚾💙💛 Luckily, Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, November 1, so don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour.

Between late-night baseball, chilly Wisconsin mornings, and cozy fall evenings, that extra hour is coming at just the right time!

Port Washington State Bank in Thiensville (197 S. Main St.) will be hosting a community-wide shredding event on Saturday, October 10 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, or, until the truck is filled. In addition, the Thiensville Police Department will be on site to collect unused medications.

Due to the high demand for shredding and the limited space in the shredding truck, each vehicle is allowed 2 boxes or 2 grocery bags of paper.

Utility Work Underway for Main Street Development Projects

This week, utility connection work began for two major development projects along Main Street: the Christ Alone School expansion at Main Street and Division Street and the Meridian mixed-use development at Main Street and Freistadt Road.

Crews are beginning the process of connecting the developments to public and private utilities, including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, natural gas, electric, telephone and cable services. The work is being coordinated among the projects’ sewer and water contractors and the various utility companies.

Over the next several months, residents and motorists should expect occasional short-term lane closures and traffic impacts near both project sites as connections are made within the roadway. Access will generally be maintained, but drivers are encouraged to use caution and allow a little extra time when crews are working.

The Village appreciates everyone’s patience as these projects continue to move forward.
