To the City of Lloydminster,
The Lloydminster Motor Club respectfully submits this request for an honorary road sub‑designation to honour the life and legacy of Eugene Seguin, a man whose generosity, compassion, and community spirit shaped the lives of countless residents in Lloydminster.
Eugene was born on September 13, 1969, and passed away on October 11, 2026. In those years, he became known not just as a business owner, but as someone who consistently put others first. If a driver was stranded on the side of the road, Eugene stopped. If someone needed a tire but couldn’t afford one, he found a way to make it work. He donated to charities without hesitation and supported community initiatives with genuine heart. His kindness was not performative, it was simply who he was.
His shop, ME Tire & Auto, located on the north side of 44th Street and 62nd Ave, became a hub of goodwill. It was a place where people felt welcome, supported, and treated with respect. The service road in front of Me Tire is deeply connected to Eugene’s daily life and to the countless moments where he helped people get back on the road safely, literally and figuratively.
Eugene also managed and maintained the Devin Seguin Memorial Foundation, working tirelessly to raise funds for various other charity efforts in town, like assisting families navigating the hardships going through cancer diagnosis' & recovery, and even donating for mechanics scholarship at the local high school. Through this work, he invested directly in the future of Lloydminster’s youth and the community he cared so deeply about.
In recognition of his impact, we request that the City of Lloydminster grant an honorary sub‑name to the service road in front of Me Tire, designating it as:
“Burnin Daylight Strip”
This name reflects Eugene’s spirit — energetic, hardworking, and always moving forward. It also carries a nod to his love of motorcycles, making “Strip” a fitting tribute that blends community meaning with personal significance.
The Lloydminster Motor Club submits this proposal on behalf of our members, the friends of and Seguin Family, and the broader automotive community, many of whom were directly touched by Eugene’s generosity and friendship. Eugene supported our club many times over the years, and we were proud to support him in return.
We believe this honorary designation would serve as a lasting reminder of Eugene’s values: kindness, service, and the belief that helping others is simply the right thing to do. It would allow his legacy to remain visible in the community he loved and served so wholeheartedly.
Thank you for considering this request. We would be honoured to work with the City to ensure the designation aligns with municipal guidelines and reflects Eugene’s memory in a meaningful and respectful way.
With gratitude,
Randy Marsh
