This week is National AccessAbility Week, a time to recognize the importance of accessibility and how it helps create stronger, more inclusive communities π
This year's theme, "Building a Strong, Accessible Canada," reminds us that accessibility benefits us all. Whether it's physical spaces, communication, technology, transportation, or community participation, accessibility helps ensure everyone can fully engage, contribute, and belong.
Building accessible communities isn't just about meeting standards, it's about creating environments where people feel welcomed, valued, and included.
As we celebrate this week, let's continue learning, listening, and working together to remove barriers and create opportunities that make our communities stronger for everyone π

Today, our Assistant Coordinators, Coordinators, and Senior Coordinators came together for Leadership Day, a day focused on continual learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
Throughout the day, the teams participated in presentations and discussions on important topics including our DEI initiatives, medication process updates, budgeting, the International Conference on Integrated Care 2026, and MBTI: Building Stronger Connections. We were also grateful to welcome Katherine Gallinger, Professor & Placement Coordinator in the DSW Program at Fanshawe College, who shared valuable insights on student placements and strengthening future partnerships.
At PHSS, we believe investing in ongoing training and development strengthens not only our leadership teams, but the quality of support we provide every day. Opportunities like Leadership Day allow us to learn from one another, build stronger connections, and continue growing together as an organization.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making today a meaningful and engaging experience!

π Community Place North Men's Group had the chance to check out Delaware Speedway and get a behind-the-scenes look at the racing world ποΈ
They got to hear the engines roaring, check out the equipment up close, learn about the cars, and watch a pit stop in action.
The group also got the chance to take a couple laps around the track in the wheelchair accessible vans during slow time, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the track from a whole new view!
Huge thank you to Patrick Brothers Racing for taking the time to show everyone how itβs done!
