🐾 We can't seem to get enough of pet therapy these days!
Today, Barb hosted another pet therapy visit, and everyone had a great time. Tom, Gord, and the rest of the group enjoyed spending time with the animals from Little Hobby Hill Farm.
Todays visit included a puppy, bunnies, a chicken, and a duck, giving everyone the chance to meet, pet, and spend time with a variety of friendly animals.
Thank you to Little Hobby Hill Farm for another great visit!

🎨💙We couldn't have asked for a better day for our Annual Paddles for Paint event on June 20th. The sun was shining, the atmosphere was full of laughter and creativity, and we even managed to wrap everything up just before the storm rolled in!
Paddles for Paint brings together friends, families, supporters, and artists for an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and fun. It was wonderful to see so many people come together in support of our artists and the positive impact that art has on people's lives.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and participated, we raised over $3,500 in support of the Possibilities in Paint collaborative. These funds will help provide essential art supplies, including paint, brushes, and other materials, so our talented artists can continue creating meaningful works of art.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Paddles for Paint such a success. Your support is helping ensure our artists have the tools and opportunities they need to continue sharing their creativity. ❤️🎨

🌞🌿 There's nothing quite like a sunny day at Civic Garden!
Colton recently spent some time enjoying the beautiful gardens and taking in the colourful flowers. Sometimes it's the simple moments outdoors that make for the best days.
We hope you're getting a chance to enjoy the sunshine too! 🌸💙

On Friday, we were honoured to officially celebrate the opening and dedication of the new elevator and Garden Room at Community Place North. The celebration also marked 10 years of this space supporting people and families in our community.
This milestone represents so much more than new spaces and building improvements. It reflects what can be accomplished through collaboration, generosity, and a shared commitment to creating more accessible and inclusive communities.
We are incredibly grateful to the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Employment and Social Development Canada, our community partners, donors, and everyone who helped make these projects possible.
A special thank you to Mike Hussein from Willow Bridge Homes Ltd. and our community partners for their expertise and dedication in bringing these improvements to life.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday. A special thank you to Minister Rob Flack and MPP Terence Kernaghan for taking the time to celebrate with us, and to our Board members, staff, people we support, and community partners for helping make the day so memorable. We look forward too many more years of Community Place North being a place where people can connect, learn, grow, and belong.

Congrats on making boxer of the month Chelsea!!
July Athlete Recognition 🌟
https://www.fiercenfitboxing.com/boxer-of-the-month
This month, we are proud to celebrate four incredible members of our Fierce N Fit family: Tia, Chelsey, Charles, and Scott.
Tia is one of our amazing Athlete Representatives. She helps create activity flyers, comes up with fun themes for our weekly online Thursday classes, and brings creativity, leadership, and joy to everything she does. Since joining Fierce N Fit in 2020, Tia has grown so much in her boxing, building her balance, coordination, confidence, and skills. Her beautiful smile and positive energy light up every class.
Chelsey never misses an online workout and always shows up ready to train — tea in hand, smile on her face, and energy for the whole group. She gives the warmest welcomes to athletes and coaches, and once the Shania Twain music starts, we know the party has officially begun. And of course, every class has our favourite moment:
“Chelsey, what time is it?”
“SPEEEEEEEDBALLLLLLLL!”
Charles continues to show what is possible through adaptive boxing. As an Athlete Representative and dedicated virtual boxing athlete, he inspires everyone around him with his strength, courage, and determination. In December 2024, Charles made Canadian history as the first official Canadian competitive para-boxer, representing Canada at the DragonKraków ParaBoxing Championships in Poland. We are so proud of this incredible milestone.
Scott brings humour, kindness, personality, and heart to Fierce N Fit. He is known for his silly jokes, caring check-ins, on-beat dance moves, spooky Halloween costumes, and love of heavy metal music. But when it is time to box, Scott means business. His kindness, strength, and determination make him such a valued part of our community.
Please join us in celebrating Tia, Chelsey, Charles, and Scott! 🥊💜🏆
