Heritage London Foundation will showcase the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate at this year’s Doors Open London event! The beautiful manor house in Spanish Colonial style will be open to visitors on one day only - Sunday, September 22, from 10 am to 4 pm - after a hiatus of several years.
Guests will be welcomed with guided tours and informative sign-boards that tell the amazing stories around Elsie Perrin and Dr. Hadley Williams, their housekeeper Harriet Corbett, and the estate itself—including the legal maneuverings following Elsie’s death in 1934.
The day will focus on the “Live. Work. Play: In the Forest City” theme for this year’s Doors Open London. The grounds will be a special focus with informative stories about the natural setting past and present. Guests will learn the recreational history of the property, including the legendary but now overgrown golf course installed by Hadley to the west. Special features that highlight Elsie’s love of animals include the pet cemetery with adjacent burial site of Elsie and Hadley. A gentle horse named Prince will be on the grounds from 11 am to 2pm, weather permitting.
Visitors of all ages will enjoy the park setting overlooking the Medway Valley, the exquisite gardens around the manor house, and assorted lawn games and activities on the beautiful grounds. Children are welcome. Can't wait to see you there!

Grosvenor’s Haunted Lodge is back for 2023 with this year's theme “Waking Nightmares". With an expanded haunt, FREE hot chocolate and cotton candy for purchase, you don't want to miss out on this year's BEST Haunted Lodge yet! (This event is not suitable for children under 12.)
Proceeds go to Heritage London Foundation. We are accepting food donations for the Western University Student Food Bank.
