How to exit the Conservation Area ⁉️

We now have two gated exits:

➡️ Right Lane: Main Exit

⬅️ Left Lane: Customer Service Lane

Please use the right lane to exit directly. If you need to stop at the front gate, then please use the left lane.

Drive all the way up to the gate and it will automatically open.

If there is a vehicle in front of you, you do not need to wait for the gate to fully close before you leave (exit only)

Please use caution when entering and exiting our parks.

We hope to see you back soon! 👋

If you’ve visited us recently, you may have noticed we have a new gate system!

Here’s how to use our New Gate System:

➡️ The Right Lane is our “Express Lane” and can be used if you have:

• A swipe card

• A mirror hanger with a barcode*

• A printed barcode

*if you have a mirror hanger without a barcode, please stop at the customer service lane for your new barcode✨

⬅️ The Left Lane is our “Customer Service Lane” and can be used if you:

• Do not have a pass and would like to purchase a day pass or membership pass

• Are coming to camp and do not have your barcode yet

• Need to speak to a Customer Service Representative

• Have any questions

During the camping season, the gatehouse is open between 6:00 am to 10:00 pm unless otherwise posted.

If you are unsure of which lane to use, please use the left lane and we’d be happy to assist!😊

Thank you for your patience as we role this new system out.

🎉 We didn't create the national holiday but we DO believe it should be celebrated! Happy National Leave the Office Early Day!

How to celebrate? "Get fresh air and sunshine. Do a little bit of yard work, wash the car, go for a walk, go to the beach, ride a bike, or just sit outside and read a book. Whatever you love to do that can be done outside, do it."

Works for us! 🌞

Did you know June is Canadian RV & Camping Month? It is a nationwide celebration dedicated to the RV and camping lifestyle — encouraging Canadians to get outside, explore, and experience everything the great outdoors has to offer.

Throughout June, the campaign shines a spotlight on camping culture, outdoor travel, and the communities built around it, from coast to coast. Sounds like a great thing to celebrate to us! 😃🎉

Turtle Reporting Form 05/28/2026

Something to keep in mind when you're visiting! It’s turtle nesting season! 🐢 At this time of year, turtles leave the safety of wetlands, rivers, and streams to search for places to lay their eggs. Unfortunately, many nests end up in unsafe locations where they’re at risk from predators, vehicles, flooding, and more.

That’s where UTRCA’s Southern Ontario At Risk Reptiles - SOARR team comes in. SOARR rescues eggs from high-risk nests and brings them to our lab for artificial incubation before releasing the hatchlings back into the wild. In 2025 alone, more than 13,000 hatchling turtles were released!
👀 If you spot a turtle nest in a risky location, you can help. Report it through our online reporting page: https://thamesriver.on.ca/turtle-reporting-form/

Turtle Reporting Form Turtle Reporting Form Please use this form to report sightings of turtles or turtle nests/eggs in southwestern Ontario. Your report will go directly to the Southern Ontario At Risk Reptiles (SOARR) team who will rescue the eggs, incubate them, and release the young back into their natural habitat.
