As part of our commitment to honour Our London Family, the Library is proud to share book lists that celebrate Muslim voices and stories. 📚💜

Reading helps us grow understanding, build empathy, and stand together against hate.

These books for adults, teens, and children reflect the beauty and strength of Muslim communities.

June is Seniors Month in Ontario, a time to celebrate older adults and the many ways they shape our community. 💙

At the Library, there are programs, services, and resources for every chapter of life. From film screenings and book clubs to social programs, tech help, and health information, there are many ways to connect, learn, and access support.

We’re bringing a little garden magic to Gathering on the Green! 🌱

Stop by our table for a children’s seed planting activity and say hello to Library staff while you’re there.

Thank you to West Coast Seeds and Heeman’s for generously donating seeds for this activity. We can’t wait to see what young gardeners grow!

📅 Saturday, June 6, 10am–5pm
📍 Village Green, Wortley Rd. at Elmwood Ave.

Please note: With thunderstorms in the forecast, set-up may be delayed or activities may move indoors to the Library.

In art and life, second acts can be scary good. 👻✨

Join us for a free screening of Silver Screamers, a heartwarming documentary about a group of older adults who step outside their comfort zones to make a horror film. With humour, friendship, and a whole lot of courage, they prove that creativity has no age limit.

After the screening, stay for a conversation with Writer and Director Sean Cisterna and Director of Photography Danny Dunlop.

We’re partnering with the City of London and other organizations to remember and reflect on Our London Family.

This week, Londoners are invited to take part in observances and community events leading up to and continuing beyond the Five Year Commemoration Vigil and March on Saturday, June 6 at 6pm at Hyde Park and South Carriage roads.

Together, these events honour the lives of the Afzaal family, stand against Islamophobia, and support a message of love over hate.

What better way to spark a love of reading than storytime? 📚💛

Join us at the Library for books, songs, rhymes, movement, and fun for little ones. Storytime helps build early literacy skills, encourages curiosity, and gives families time to connect.
