🎃👻The Manning RCMP Encouraging a Safe Halloween for Trick-or-Treaters 🎃👻

Halloween brings plenty of excitement for trick-or-treaters, but it also comes with added safety considerations. The Manning RCMP are reminding families and motorists to stay alert and take precautions on Oct. 31.

Tips for trick-or-treaters and families:
• Wear bright, reflective costumes or add reflective tape for visibility.
• Carry a flashlight or glow sticks to be seen after dark.
• Travel in groups and stay on sidewalks when possible.
• Only visit homes that have exterior lights on.
• Inspect all treats before eating them.

Tips for drivers:
• Slow down and be alert in residential areas.
• Watch for children crossing the street unexpectedly.
• Avoid distractions behind the wheel.

“Halloween is an exciting time for families and our community and we want everyone to enjoy the evening safely. We remind the trick-or-treaters to remain visible to motorists and to look both ways before crossing the streets. We also ensure extra caution to the motorists: drive slow, and stay alert in residential neighbourhoods. From all of us at the detachment, have a fun, safe, and happy Halloween. Let’s go, Comets!” – Cpl. David Fogarty
