Our WomanCare team was grateful to attend the 22nd Annual Breastfeeding Celebration, hosted by in honour of National Breastfeeding Week in Canada.⁠
⁠
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with mothers, babies, and families along with some of local organizations who are passionate about supporting them.⁠
⁠
We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to create spaces where families can feel encouraged, supported, and cared for 🫶⁠

Next Thursday, we’re gathering for a quiet evening of remembrance in honour of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day.⁠
⁠
Whether you’re remembering a little one of your own, supporting someone you love, or simply wishing to stand alongside families who have experienced loss, we welcome you to join us.⁠
⁠
This is a gentle, come-and-go gathering with candles provided, a community canvas for names or notes of remembrance, and space to pause and reflect in whatever way feels right for you.⁠

There’s no formal service and no expectation to share. Just a quiet moment to remember, together 🤍⁠

Jennifer’s passion for supporting women and families is deeply personal…⁠
⁠
Her own experiences of navigating two unexpected pregnancies as a young adult and a later pregnancy with a serious fetal diagnosis, taught her the importance of having supportive people in your life.

Those experiences eventually led her to serve with Teen Mother Choices, where she had the opportunity to walk alongside young mothers and their children.⁠

Now, she brings that understanding and passion to her role as executive director at WomanCare Pregnancy Centre ✨⁠
⁠
Jennifer cares deeply about women, children, and families, and is passionate about creating spaces where women feel supported, valued, and equipped as they navigate some of life’s most significant moments.⁠

Throughout the evening, guests had the opportunity to explore different stations to learn more about our main programs, connect with fellow supporters, and hear more about the impact of the work happening in our community.⁠

We’re looking for a few more helping hands at Flourish⁠

Our Flourish moms’ group is a space for connection, encouragement, practical learning, and community. Behind each evening are volunteers who help make that space possible, and we’re currently looking for volunteers in two areas:⁠
⁠
🧸 Childcare Volunteers: Help care for the little ones while moms participate in the evening’s group activities and workshops.⁠
⁠
Commitment: 1–2 times per month, approximately 2 hours⁠
When: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month⁠
⁠
This is also a great opportunity for students looking to gain volunteer hours and experience working with children! 🫶⁠
⁠
🍽️ Group Meal Providers: Help provide a meal for the moms, children, volunteers, and team to enjoy together before the evening begins.⁠
⁠
Whether you can lend a hand with childcare or provide a meal, your support helps create a welcoming and supportive community for local moms.⁠
⁠
