With one month left until the election, my team and I invite you to come together, celebrate our community, and show your support for protecting nature. Friends of Swan Lake Park will lead a walk around the park and share insights on building a healthy coexistence between wildlife and people.

Come meet us, share your thoughts, and enjoy the park with us. We’ll be there until 3:00 p.m. before heading out for our daily canvassing.

Recently, I had the opportunity to complete a survey organized by a group of passionate residents known as the Friends of Swan Lake Park. They are dedicated to preserving the biodiversity of Swan Lake Park and have proposed a number of thoughtful and constructive ideas to protect this precious natural space.

We should be truly grateful to have residents who care so deeply about our neighbourhood and work hard to preserve the natural spaces and wildlife habitats right at our doorsteps. Swan Lake Park is a wonderful example of how people and wildlife can coexist in harmony.

Walking along the trails, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and seeing families spending time in nature make Swan Lake Park a special place for our community. 🌳

Creating and maintaining spaces like this takes the commitment and collaboration of both our government and residents. Through open communication, mutual understanding, and working together, we can protect the natural beauty we have today and create more opportunities for people and nature to thrive side by side.

🍂 My team and I will be joining “Celebrate Fall and Biodiversity at Swan Lake Park,” organized by Friends of Swan Lake Park on Saturday, September 26! It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the park through guided tours led by experts from different fields. It’s also a great chance for us to hear your thoughts on how we can better protect and manage Swan Lake Park and other potential greenway lands in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Together, let’s build a community where nature is cherished and future generations can enjoy it for years to come.

Our September 9 fundraising dinner was a great success, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible — our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, talented performers, and every friend and supporter who joined us that evening.

Your support has given our campaign a strong foundation. But more importantly, it has given me something even more meaningful: your trust.

I will carry that trust with me as I continue reaching out to residents across Ward 5 — one neighbourhood, one street, and one conversation at a time. I want to meet residents in person, introduce my platform, listen to your ideas and concerns, and have honest conversations about the issues that matter to our community.

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing so many talented performers from Ward 5 take the stage and share their gifts with us. I was truly proud to see our residents shine.

As a City Councillor, I believe our community should not only provide services — it should also provide opportunities and stages for every resident to shine. Whether through arts, community activities, volunteerism, business, sports, or simply contributing ideas, everyone has something valuable to offer.

I will carry the trust and support I received from everyone at the dinner with me to every street and every neighbourhood of Ward 5.

Your support will fuel our campaign as we work together to build a Ward 5 that we are proud to call home — for generations of residents to come.

My goal is simple: to walk every street in Ward 5, knock on every door I can, and have real conversations with the people who call this community home.
Because no one knows a neighbourhood better than the residents who live there.

As I have been out knocking on doors and speaking with residents, I’ve also noticed some issues that may seem small, but can have serious consequences.

A raised water valve. An overgrown municipal tree. Things that are easy to overlook, but can become a safety concern.

In fact, one raised water valve had already caused a resident to trip and fall.

These may seem like small problems, but that doesn’t mean they should be ignored.

So when I knock on your door, even if you think something is “just a small issue,” please tell me about it.

I want to put myself in your shoes, listen carefully, notice what others may overlook, and most importantly, take action to get things done.

And I want to take a moment to say a very special thank you to my campaign team.

Some have brought their whole families out to help. Some have shown up while still wearing a cast. Some have made time despite already being incredibly busy. And some have quietly stepped in wherever help was needed, making sure no gap was left uncovered.

Every contribution matters, and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.

踏踏實實地走遍Ward 5的大街小巷，親自敲響每一戶人家的大門，希望可以和每一位居民面對面交流。
因為，我相信沒有人比居民更了解自己社區的實際需要。
而在這段落區、敲門、交流的過程中，我確實發現了一些大家可能忽略，但後果可以很嚴重的問題。
例如突起的 Water Valve（水閥）、沒有及時修剪的市政樹木等等。這些看似「小事」，其實都直接關乎居民的安全。
其中一個突起的水閥，更曾經令一位居民絆倒。
這些「小問題」，如果沒有人留意、沒有人跟進，就可能變成大問題。
所以，即使你覺得只是一些小事，當我有機會和你面對面交談時，我都希望你願意告訴我。
我會設身處地去感受，去發現，然後去行動、去解決。
特別想感謝我的競選團隊。
有一家大小一起出動的，有拖著還在打石膏的腳來幫忙的，有在百忙之中抽空參與的，也有一直默默地填補每一個空缺、確保團隊可以順利運作的。
每一份付出，我都看在眼裡，也非常感恩。

Spending time at our local long-term care center on the last Saturday was truly a highlight. We had the absolute joy of volunteering and celebrating our remarkable seniors aged 90 and beyond was a humbling experience🎉✨

Their stories, sharp sense of humor, and decades of contributions remind us of the strong foundation our neighborhood is built upon.

Taking the time to listen, care, and show up for one another is what keeps our community strong. Wishing all of our wonderful seniors continued good health, comfort, and joy in the days ahead! ❣️

Celebrating Wisdom & Joy in Our Community! 🎂✨

Last month, I had the wonderful privilege of visiting local long-term care centers to honor some of our most incredible community members—our seniors celebrating their 90th birthdays and beyond!

Listening to their stories, sharing a few laughs, and seeing their bright smiles was a powerful reminder of the rich history and strength present in our neighborhood. Their wisdom and lifelong contributions inspire us every single day.

To all of our spectacular nonagenarians and centenarians: thank you for the inspiration you bring to us all. Wishing each and every one of you vibrant health, happiness, deep comfort, and many more joyful moments ahead! 🌸 heart ❤️

Busy and rewarding day introducing myself to the residents of Ward 5! I truly enjoyed connecting with neighbors and hearing your stories about our community.

My years as a radio host taught me how to listen deeply. But canvassing on the ground gives me the invaluable opportunity to meet each of you face-to-face and see the true heart of our neighborhood. These conversations remind me just how vital open, direct communication is—and that is exactly the dedication I promise to bring to Council.

Today was extra special because it was my Mom’s birthday, and she spent it out canvassing by my side. Thank you, Mom! I am so grateful for my family's unwavering support, and I promise to bring that same dedication to fighting for every family across Ward 5. 🗳️
