Mission Fire Rescue Service Providing service to the community by protecting life, property and environment through prevention,

To provide service to the community by protecting life, property and environment through prevention, public education and emergency response with well-maintained equipment and highly trained, dedicated personnel. The Mission Fire/Rescue Service is a progressive department, using the National Fire Protection Standard 1001, and the British Columbia Firefighter Certification Programs as a basis for Officer and Firefighter Training. This has resulted in a well-trained and effective Fire Service Operation. The Department employs the Incident Command System for Emergency Incidents, resulting in a safe and efficient emergency scene. The Mission Fire/Rescue Service has a strong commitment to fire safety. The Department offers public education programs, varying from lectures on fire safety to extinguisher training for industry. An interactive Hazard House provides Fire Safety Education to children, and is brought into the schools periodically throughout the year. In addition, regular fire safety inspections are done by the Department to ensure compliance with the Fire Services Act and the BC Fire Code. The Mission Fire/Rescue Service strives to offer the best fire service possible to its customers within the District of Mission and within the guidelines and resources afforded it by the Council of the District of Mission.

Keep Halloween fun, not dangerous!

Fireworks can cause serious injuries, start fires, and damage homes and property. Stick to the spooky fun, not the dangerous sparks.

Have a safe and happy Halloween, Mission!

Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they fail.

That’s a wrap on another successful Fire & Life Safety Fair! 🚒

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and joined us this weekend. It was an incredible day filled with learning, connecting with our community, and, of course, plenty of fire safety fun!

We’re so grateful to all of our community partners - London Drugs, Canadian Tire, The Penny, Cobs Bread, North Fraser Fire Department, Ambulance Paramedics BC, Fraser Field, Mission Search and Rescue, BC Hydro, Mission Leisure Centre, CPKC Police, RCMP Community Policing and Victim Services, ESS/Radio Club, Mission U-14 Bulldogs Soccer team, Mission Firefighters Chartiable Society, IAFF Local 4768 and MFRS members who helped make the event possible. Most importantly, thank you to our community for showing up and helping us make fire and life safety a priority.

We’ll see you next year!
