🍇✨ Syrah: A grape of global renown ✨🍷

Syrah’s origins were long debated, but genetic research confirms its roots in France, specifically in Savoie and Ardèche. Though native to the Rhône Valley, it has spread worldwide, now covering 140,000 hectares around the world.

Young wines offer expressive red and black fruit aromas, floral notes of violet, and signature spicy elements like black pepper and licorice. As it matures, it develops earthy and complex notes such as truffle, musk, leather, and dark spices. Syrah is primarily used to create rich, full-bodied reds, though it is also crafted into aromatic, fruit-driven rosés that highlight its finesse.

Syrah is distinguished by its deep colour, structured tannins, and aromatic intensity. It lends its unique character to the blends of the Côtes du Rhône.

Drink responsibly.

🍇✨ Grenache Noir: the generous soul of the Rhône Valley ✨🍷

Originally from Spain, Grenache Noir thrives under the radiant sun of the Rhône Valley. As the signature grape of the region, it embodies the indulgence and generosity that define Rhône wines.

Its blackcurrant and blackberry aromas create a bold, fruit-driven profile, which gradually develops into warm, spicy notes over time. Versatile and expressive, Grenache Noir is used in red and rosé wines, from dry to naturally sweet styles, always delivering impressive depth, roundness, and complexity.

Grenache Noir, highly sensitive to soil, reveals unique wine profiles depending on the terroir, vintage, and vineyard practices, showcasing the richness and diversity of the Rhône's viticultural heritage.

Drink responsibly.

🐑 Vitipastoralism: A Sheep for a Lawnmower, Healthy Soil!

In the vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône, winemakers and livestock farmers are joining forces for more sustainable and eco-friendly viticulture by reintroducing vitipastoralism.

From September to March, between the harvest and budburst, sheep graze between the vine rows, bringing numerous benefits. 👆

💡 In Rochefort-du-Gard, Château Terre Forte is taking innovation even further by integrating llamas to maintain hedgerows and woodlands! 🦙

With the support of the Syndicat des Côtes du Rhône, the collaboration between winemakers and shepherds is growing. In 2023, a survey of 160 winemakers laid the groundwork for a network to facilitate this transition.

❓What do you think of this technique?

🌬️ Where does the Pontias come from?
This wind is the secret behind Nyons’ wonderfully mild microclimate.

Would you believe us if we told you it was brought from the shores of the Mediterranean in 530 by Césaire, the Bishop of Arles, renowned for his miracles throughout the region? 🪄

Sent on a mission by the people of Nyons, who longed for a bit of cool air 🥵, he searched all over Provence before stumbling upon it by chance on his way back from Rome. He captured it in his glove and released it over the village heights.

Let’s be honest—who could possibly doubt such a charming tale? 😊
