Last Wednesday, the International Relations Society had the pleasure of hosting its very first Coffee with a Diplomat ☕️🌐, this time focusing on Women in Politics 👩💼✨
We were honoured to welcome Annelie Justiniano de Moya and Tania Lara, who shared their experiences, not only in diplomacy and international affairs, but also what it's like to work in these spaces as women. A key message from the discussion was the importance of being comfortable with oneself, and having the confidence to do things alone.
A big thank you to all the students who joined us and contributed to such a welcoming atmosphere. And of course, thank you to our incredible guests for taking the time to connect with our community, it was a privilege to learn from you.

A huge thank you to everyone who came last week to our annual flagship event, Global Insights! 🌍 And a special thank you to for their incredible work and dedication toward helping bring this event to life!
Hosted at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal, the event brought together ambassadors and high commissioners to engage with over 100 students and young professionals.
This year's theme explored the new world order and trade relations, creating thoughtful discussions on diplomacy, economic cooperation, and the forces shaping today's global landscape.
It was an incredible evening of dialogue, learning, and networking. Thank you to our distinguished speakers and to everyone who joined us to make this year's Global Insights such a success. 🌐

The International Relations Society had the pleasure of visiting the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ottawa this week. 🇨🇳🤝
During the visit, embassy officials shared a presentation with our students on China’s diplomatic priorities and its relationship with Canada, offering valuable insight into the work of the embassy. The open discussion that followed gave our members the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a meaningful conversation.
We want to thank to members of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China for warmly welcoming us and for taking the time to share your perspectives with our students. We are truly grateful! 🌐

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the High Commission of Australia in Ottawa for warmly receiving the Concordia International Relations Society delegation. 🇦🇺🤝
This visit was especially meaningful as it marked Concordia’s first-ever student delegation to a high commission. We had the opportunity to learn more about Australia’s diplomatic priorities and the work being done to strengthen its bilateral relations with Canada.
Thank you again to the team at the High Commission for your time, generosity, and engaging discussion. We are truly grateful for the opportunity and look forward to building more connections in the diplomatic community. 🌐
