A STUDENT OF MINE REPLIES TO A SINCERE, WELL-INTENDED, ANTI-ZIONIST JEW

You stated that "most Jews are blind to the evils of Israel and fall into war propaganda."

That's a bold statement. I'd like to address it, as respectfully as I can.

Most Jews are *not* blind to the "evils of Israel." That's a gross oversimplification. Most Jews I've met have at least one criticism of Israeli government, past or present, and I've yet to meet a Jew who had no criticism of Israeli government. Nobody thinks that Israel is perfect. Nobody.

But Israel has the right to exist and to defend herself from her enemies, who have openly, publicly, and repeatedly sworn to kill her, and have made repeated attempts to make good on that threat.

Israel is the first fruits of our redemption. She is not perfect, but she has the right to live and to defend herself.

And if you prefer to believe the narrative provided by Hamas, an organization recognized internationally as a terrorist organization, who openly declared their genocidal intentions not only to Israel, but to Jews worldwide, it is your right to take their side.

But do try to understand when I return you words back to you that perhaps it is you who are blind to the evils of Hamas, of Hezbollah, and the other death cults surrounding Israel. Perhaps it is you who have embraced war propaganda from Israel's enemies.

Whichever side you choose, remember the words of King Solomon and take care to carefully listen to BOTH sides, rather than listen to only one side and casually dismiss the others as "war propaganda."

Any war narrative can be "propaganda" from either side, the moment it gets politicized. That doesn't mean the narrative is inaccurate. It still merits consideration and examination before being accepted or rejected, in whole or in part.
