Behind every compassionate moment on the frontlines is an unwavering foundation of operational excellence. Compassion inspires our mission, but rigorous structure, safety, and accountability ensure we can deliver on that promise every day.

This year, Fraserside is proud to have achieved a 3-Year CARF International Accreditation renewal.

This accreditation confirms that our operations meet the highest international standards for quality assurance, risk management, and ethical stewardship across all our housing, counselling, and community living programs. It means that when a family or individual turns to us, they are receiving world-class, accountable care.

When Arnold first walked through the doors at Peterson Place, he was exhausted. Weighing just 130 pounds, he was dealing with severe health challenges, unstable circumstances, and the physical toll of prolonged hardship.

Recovery didn't happen overnight, but stability gave Arnold the space he needed to heal. With a warm apartment to call his own, customized daily hot meals prepared by our chef, and steady, compassionate check-ins from staff, Arnold began to regain his health.

Step by step, his energy returned. Today, Arnold maintains a vibrant, healthy weight of 160 pounds—a tangible 30-pound transformation. More than that, he has found a home where he feels truly seen, valued, and cared for.

Arnold’s journey is a powerful testament to what happens when stable housing and nourishing care come together.

Whether through dedicated home-share arrangements, inclusion networks, or specialized group homes, our care is personalized to the individual.

Each year, our full-time Chef and his team at Peterson Place deliver nearly 60,000 warm meals right to our residents. Every plate handed over represents far more than physical nourishment—it’s an open door to trust, connection, and proactive care.

Every meal served is a chance to check in, share a friendly smile, and catch up on how someone is truly doing. Alongside thousands of annual wellness check-ins, these daily moments allow our team to notice subtle changes in physical health, offer immediate support, and build lasting relationships rooted in dignity.

"A hot meal nourishes the body, but it's the daily presence and care behind it that helps our residents feel safe, valued, and grounded."

There is a profound sense of pride that comes with putting on a uniform, mastering a new skill, and earning a paycheck.

At Fraserside, we know that vocational growth does so much more than teach a skill—it drives confidence, fosters independence, and creates deep community connection. Through our Mobile Work Crew (MWC), we empower individuals with diverse abilities through hands-on, supported commercial employment.

When you set high expectations and provide the right support, remarkable results follow. This past fiscal year, our crew outperformed every goal, managing 31 active commercial contracts—a 107% achievement rate against targets—while earning a flawless 100% customer satisfaction score from local business partners.

Equal opportunity isn't just a principle—it’s a catalyst for human potential.

Behind every door at our New Westminster Emergency Family Shelter is a family reclaiming their future.

In a crisis, a stable foundation and strong support can change everything that follows.

Last year, Fraserside walked alongside 24 families—74 people in total. With dedicated support, 81% of those families successfully moved from emergency shelter into stable housing situations.

But for every family we welcome, many more remain in need. The reality of our region’s housing crisis remains stark. Overwhelming demand forced us to turn away over 1,700 people last year, including more than 700 children.

At Fraserside, our vision is a community where every person achieves the stability, preserves dignity, and has the supporting agency to pursue meaningful opportunities. Opening a new foundation house in Surrey is our next step in making that vision a reality for every child and parent seeking safety.

At Mundy Residence, these thoughtful artistic touches are more than just decor—they reflect deep respect, individuality, and true belonging. When care is built on dignity and respect, stability becomes a catalyst for human potential.

Providing 24/7 care for adults with developmental disabilities across Burnaby and the Tri-Cities, our staff work every day to ensure that residential support feels like a true home.

This person-centered approach is at the heart of Fraserside’s mission: to provide a foundation of stability for individuals facing complex barriers, including developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and housing insecurity. We envision a community where every person has the stability, support, and agency to navigate life’s challenges and pursue meaningful opportunities.

"I was living at a shelter for four months before moving to Peterson Place. One of my biggest challenges was transitioning from being homeless to having a good home. It shows that people can overcome their problems with effort, help, and resources. Fraserside really cares." — Peterson Place Resident

Opening the door to housing is only the first step; keeping that door open through complex crises is where true healing happens.

At Peterson Place in Surrey, our team provides low-barrier supportive housing for adults who are at risk of homelessness. By building strong rapport, connecting tenants to healthcare and employment resources, and resolving critical tenancy risk interventions last year, our team maintained stability for complex-needs residents. Our Impact at Peterson Place in the past year includes:

🏠 96% Housing Retention: Keeping vulnerable individuals safely housed and off the streets through low-barrier support.

🤝 90 Individuals Housed: Providing a safe haven for residents rebuilding their lives

🌱 90%+ Long-Term Stability: Over 90% of our tenants remained stably housed for six months or more.

Every person deserves a safe, secure place to call home and a team that walks alongside them.
