Heartland Forest Nature Experience Heartland Forest is passionate about inspiring people of all ages and all abilities to respect, protect and enjoy the world of nature.

Our 200+ acres feature easy access trails, boardwalks, informative signage and butterfly gardens as well as picnic pavilions, 9-hole mini-putt, a variety of play areas and a Nature Centre with interactive exhibits.

The pumpkins are out, the candy is piling up, and our amazing staff and volunteers are busy putting the finishing touches on everything!

🎃❤️ The Heart of PumpkinFest — Our AMAZING Community! ❤️🎃

PumpkinFest is almost here, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible businesses, organizations, families and individuals who make this special event possible!

PumpkinFest is about so much more than pumpkins, costumes and candy. It's about bringing people together, creating wonderful memories and making sure everyone has the opportunity to join in the fun.

One of the most meaningful parts of our weekend is our FREE Special Needs Sensory-Friendly PumpkinFest on Friday evening, when individuals with disabilities and their families can enjoy all the excitement in a welcoming, accessible environment — at absolutely no cost.

We are absolutely blown away by the wonderful response to our call for candy and treats for PumpkinFest!

From local businesses and community groups to families and individuals, the generosity has been amazing! We are so grateful to everyone who has already contributed.

But with PumpkinFest just around the corner and so many excited trick-or-treaters expected, you can still contribute candy and treats to fill our Trail of Treats! 🍫🍬

A very special part of PumpkinFest is our FREE Special Needs Sensory-Friendly evening on Friday, October 23rd, ensuring individuals with disabilities and their families can enjoy all the fun at no cost.

A Little Creativity for a Chilly Day! Spend a cozy afternoon getting creative at Heartland Forest! Our November Craft Series features three fun, winter-inspired projects that are perfect for adding a little handmade charm to your home or sharing with someone special.

Here's what we'll be creating this November:
🧶 November 14 – Winter Hat Garland

Tiny hats, big charm! Create adorable miniature winter hats using colourful yarn, then string them together to make a cozy winter garland. A fun way to brighten up your home for the colder months!

⛄ November 21 – W**e Cork Snowman

Give ordinary w**e corks a new life! Turn them into a cheerful snowman, complete with a little hat, scarf and plenty of personality. A cute winter decoration made from repurposed materials.

🌲 November 28 – Pinecone Gnomes

A little woodland whimsy! Transform pinecones into charming winter gnomes using soft yarn, fabric and other craft materials. Each gnome will have its own unique personality!
