Employment First had a great time at last night's Business After Hours event at Canadore College , where we had the opportunity to promote Employment First and raise awareness about National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, and a special thank you to the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce for hosting events like this and for your continued support of our advocacy efforts.



Employment First a passé un excellent moment lors de l’événement Business After Hours d’hier soir au Collège Canadore, où nous avons eu l’occasion de promouvoir Employment First et de sensibiliser la communauté au Mois national de sensibilisation à l’emploi des personnes handicapées (MNSEPSH). Merci à toutes les personnes qui se sont arrêtées à notre kiosque, et un merci tout spécial à la Chambre de commerce de North Bay et du district pour l’organisation de tels événements et pour son soutien continu à nos efforts de sensibilisation et de défense des droits.

North Bay proudly displayed its best purple and blue lights last night, joining many others across Canada in showing support. Thank you to all the programs and individuals who helped raise awareness about disability employment.

Empowering Independence Through First Aid Training

Employment First celebrates an inspiring group of individuals who took an important step toward greater independence and confidence by completing First Aid training.
It helps build confidence, encourages independence, and equips individuals with the ability to respond in emergencies and help others in need.

Through hands-on practice, participants gained valuable knowledge, including:
-How to respond to emergencies
-Basic life-saving techniques
-Staying calm and acting with confidence

This training empowers everyone to feel capable, included, and prepared. It also shows that with the right support and opportunities, everyone can learn essential skills and make a difference in their community.
