Do you have flu or Covid-19 symptoms?

As we head into viral respiratory illness season, we wanted to make Community Members aware that based on current guidelines, COVID-19 testing is no longer routinely required. Most people can safely take care of their symptoms at home.

If you are sick:
✅ Take rest, stay home, and allow yourself to recover
✅ Avoid close contact with people at higher risk of severe illness
✅ Wear a mask if you will be close to others
✅ Cover your coughs or sneezes with your elbow
✅ Wash your hands often

If your symptoms worsen or don’t improve, please visit your healthcare provider.

If you have any questions, contact Yúustway Health at:

As we near the end of ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) Awareness Month, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) is reminding its People about the support available for those living with ADHD, like Early Intervention Services offered through Ayás Mén̓men (Child & Family Services). This service helps Community access support if they or a loved one has ADHD or is looking to get diagnosed.

Another resource examining ADHD through an Indigenous lens is a webinar presented by the UBC Learning Circle where K'odi Taylor speaks on his living experience with ADHD - https://bit.ly/4Bozkim

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw recognizes the gifts of neurodiversity and the unique ways those living with ADHD experience and engage with the world.

Use the contact information below to connect with Ayás Mén̓men and discover how Nation resources can help you and your family:

We raise our hands for the intimate blessing ceremony held at Sen̓áḵw on Tuesday to honour and take care of the 497 new homes at the now completed sméṅhem (Tower Two).
The ceremony helped prepare the space for its future residents. This moment carries deep significance, honouring our past while looking ahead to the vibrant community that will soon call Sen̓áḵw home.
