Do you know where your donations go?
The BC SPCA has a surplus from revenue of over $115 million and this increases with each year of operations!
Why are animals deprived of property care and living conditions, when this much money is coming and and not being put to use?
Countless animal welfare issues have been identified:
Animals are distressed by forceful removal from their homes, or picked up, scared, and placed in large rooms with countless barking, stressed out animals. The could provide proper rooms for dogs, with areas to relax and de-stress after such a traumatizing experience.
Animals are left, vulnerable, without care for twelve hours a day, forced to urinate and defecate in their pens. Adopters have reported animals soaked in their own urine upon pickup.
Animals are put into incredibly stressful situations and then euthanized if they don’t react according to standard set for dogs who would normally be comfortable and secure in their new homes. An unnecessary amount of killing is happening. Animals with potential adopters and loving homes are killed. Animals living out their lives with their families are seized and then subsequently killed.
Help us demand accountability. So few people know, the BC SPCA has $115.6 million dollars, while they pander to the public for donations, charge pet owners for emergency boarding, and and also pull in revenues from adoption/sales.
