Although I was not elected as your Ward 8 Councillor, I am deeply grateful for everyone who shared this journey with me.
First, I thank our Creator for placing this calling in my heart and giving me the courage to put myself forward to be a light in a world that needs it, and to offer hope to people who have lost it. I believe this campaign encouraged some to speak up, get involved, and believe they can help create change. That alone means so much to me.
To everyone who voted for me, the residents I had the pleasure of meeting, everyone who called or emailed, and those who left such thoughtful reviews thank you. Your trust, encouragement, and willingness to share your concerns made this journey worthwhile.
Through this experience, I also learned who truly stands beside me. To my wife Wenda, after 32 years together: you have shown me, time and again, that I can rely on your love and support. Thank you for standing with me through it all.
I also want to thank my dear friend Jeffrey Armitage, a man of integrity who shares my love of truth and my desire for meaningful change that benefits us all. Jeff, your friendship, support, and commitment have meant a great deal to me.
To my family, friends, and everyone who gave their time and encouragement, please know how much I appreciate you.
I had hoped to serve you on Council, but I trust that our Creator still has work for me to do. Perhaps a greater calling lies ahead. Whatever He has in store, I am ready and willing to serve.
Thank you, Ward 8. It has been an honour to meet you, hear your stories, and share this chapter with you.
May YHWH bless you and your families.
