It’s been a great nesting season for the S.T.A.R.T. Project!
We collected over 15000 eggs! 🐢 ⚪⚪⚪

🎉 Join us at this year's TurtleFest at Scales Nature Park, from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th, to celebrate together!

It's a great chance to learn about turtle conservation, meet our team, and get up close with some of our reptiles!

Join us for kids crafts, a food tent and bake sale, silent auction, and lots of reptile FUN! Admission to TurtleFest is by donation, to ensure that it is accessible to everyone.

New this year, we're extending TurtleFest to Friday to allow for attendance for those who can only come on weekdays! 
Each day will feature 2 registration slots to allow participants to have more time on site and reduce the rush.

Please fill out one response per vehicle.
To manage parking and traffic flow, we use a timed registration process with two arrival times (10am and 1pm) and coordinated hatchling release events during each day.
Admission is by donation.

The ice storm of March 2025 had a significant impact on our property and the surrounding areas. 🍃
It took a lot of work from staff and volunteers to remove fallen trees and debris from trails and structures but the clean up is finally over!

Starting this weekend our trails are open again! Following a visit to the nature centre you could enjoy new picnic shelters, renovated bridges and boardwalks and of course our ponds and creek! 🌲🌳🌼

Nature awaits on your day trip to Scales Nature Park! Don't forget to join our iNaturalist collection by uploading observations on your walk! 🔭🐦🐍🦋🦝
