This Thanksgiving, we're celebrating gratitude, kindness, and the little things that make a big difference in our community!

🧦 SOCKTOBER — SMALL ACTS, BIG IMPACT!

Our amazing Student Council is collecting NEW socks for men, women, and children throughout October to support local shelters and organizations across Durham Region.

Socks are among the most needed, yet least donated items. A simple pair can bring warmth, comfort, and dignity to someone in need.

For our young Trailblazers, it's a wonderful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference! 💙

🍕 A Friendly Pizza Day Reminder from Your SCC!

Trailblazer families, if you've ordered pizza for your child and your child is absent on Pizza Day, please let the main office know before 10:00 a.m. what you would like done with their lunch.

Pizza can be given to a sibling or packed up for a parent to collect later that day.

With so many pizza orders to organize and distribute, a little advance communication makes a big difference in keeping things running smoothly!

🧦🧡 Small Acts of Kindness. Big Community Impact.

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, it's a wonderful time to reflect on gratitude, kindness, and the many ways we can make a difference in the lives of others.

Our amazing Student Council is leading Socktober, collecting NEW pairs of socks for men, women, and children to support local shelters and community organizations across Durham Region.

Did you know that socks are one of the most needed, yet least donated items? Something as simple as a fresh pair of socks can provide warmth, comfort, dignity, and a little hope to someone facing difficult circumstances. 💙

For our young Trailblazers, Socktober is about more than collecting socks. It's an opportunity to practise empathy, recognize the needs of others, and discover that even the smallest acts of generosity can create meaningful change.

This Thanksgiving, let's turn gratitude into action! Consider purchasing a pair of socks over the weekend to donate when school resumes on Tuesday, October 17. 🍂

Every pair matters. Every act of kindness counts. And together, we can make our community a little warmer, one pair at a time.

Calling all local makers! ❄️✨

Our Winter Maker Market is coming to Pierre Elliott Trudeau Public School on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and we’re looking for talented vendors to help make the day extra special!

We’re excited to fill our market with handcrafted goods, delicious confections, unique finds and creative seasonal offerings while bringing our community together for a warm and welcoming winter afternoon.
