Ceci devient un déversement d’origine inconnue et on doit déterminer quel navire est responsable. Toutefois, nous ne pouvons verser d'indemnisation si les preuves montrent que le déversement provient d'une source terrestre ou d'une structure dans l'eau qui n'est ni un navire ni un bateau.

What do I do when I don’t know where an oil spill came from?

Mystery spills are when we cannot pinpoint which ship caused an oil spill.

However, we cannot pay compensation if the evidence shows that a spill came either from a land-based source; or

A structure in the water that is not a ship or boat.
