Intern dinner!!!

Today the interns attended a reception hosted by the Canada-Philippines Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group and the Embassy of the Philippines to celebrate 126 years of independence!

Today the interns met with the honourable Dr. Rey Pagatakhan, the first Filipino cabinet minister and a minister under the Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien, to discuss his three areas of expertise. He shared his experiences in politics, health, and community activism.

On Friday, the interns got the opportunity to meet with Justice Coroza. He is one of the only Filipino judges in Canada and shared insights on his life and career!

The interns had the opportunity to have a discussion about careers in academia and research with a Filipino Canadian political science professor. Thank you for the insightful words Professor Alcantara!

Embassy Brief! Yesterday the interns had the opportunity to have dinner with the ambassador of the Philippines to Canada and learn about Filipino foreign policy. Thank you to for organizing this amazing experience!

Today the interns learned about issues management in a ministry. Thank you to ,the policy and issues management director to the minister of immigration, for sharing your experiences and the interactive lesson you provided.

Today the interns explored the in’s and out’s of the senate with Senator .gigiosler and had a discussion with .familyindustries .
