Hilson Avenue Public School Centennial Celebrations

What a party!!! Our Mix and Mingle was fabulous and it was lovely to see so many alumni, current students, former and current staff members, family and friends, and community members, come out to help celebrate the 100th Birthday of our awesome school! Thank you to everyone who helped make tonight possible - it couldn't have happened without you!!

Tonight is the night!! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

The memorabilia displays are up, the showcases are filled and the classroom doors are decorated! It's definitely starting to look like a party at school. Our Mix and Mingle is tomorrow night and we all can't wait to celebrate Hilson's 100th Birthday!

It was an exciting morning at Hilson, when the 1989 Time Capsule was opened. Among the items were a cassette tape and a floppy disc! Anyone remember those?? Everything will be on display Wednesday evening during our Mix & Mingle.

Current Hilson families, please don't forget that clothing orders for Hilson shirts and hats, are due tomorrow, November 24th. Don't miss out!

Preparations for the Mix and Mingle, on the 26th, are in full swing, but we we need your help. We need more photographs of Hilson and our community, from the 1970s, 2000s and 2010s. If you have some, please share on our Timeline.

Our 100th Birthday Celebration week is finally here!! Monday, November 24th, the students will find out what is inside the Time Capsule from 1989. All the items will be on display during our Mix and Mingle on the 26th, so don't forget to RSVP at 613-728-4607.
