Haás Katalin, első beosztott diplomata hangsúlyozta, hogy bármerre szóródtunk szét a nagyvilágban mind a magyar nemzet része vagyunk ❤️🤍💚 A nagyszerű műsorhoz minden korosztály hozzájárult.

🇭🇺 The Hungarian community gathered at the Ottawa Hungarian Community Centre to celebrate National Unity Day. Katalin Haás, Deputy Head of Mission emphasised that, no matter where in the world we may be scattered, we are all part of the Hungarian nation.❤️🤍💚 All age groups contributed to the captivating program.

🇭🇺 🇨🇦 Ambassador Miklós Lengyel welcomed guests at the opening of HungaroFest Toronto and took part in the Festival’s programs, including giving a Teqball masterclass for the youth. ⚽️ It was uplifting to see so many people celebrating Hungarian culture together in the heart of Toronto 🇨🇦🇭🇺

🇨🇦🤝🇭🇺 On 2 June, the Canada-Hungary Friendship Group held its inaugural meeting, with 22 MPs and senators joining the group. We are delighted that six of them have Hungarian ancestry.

🇨🇦🤝🇭🇺 Le 2 juin, le Groupe parlementaire d'amitié Canada-Hongrie a tenu sa réunion inaugurale, à laquelle ont participé 22 députés et sénateurs. Nous sommes ravis que six d'entre eux aient des origines hongroises.

Air Canada, the Embassy, the Consulate General of Hungary in Toronto/Magyarország Torontói Főkonzulátusa and the HEPA Regional Office Canada surprised travellers at the airport with authentic 🇭🇺 culture, courtesy of the Rozmaring Folk Dance Ensemble. On board they were treated to yet another Hungarian surprise - courtesy of Spin Master, they could pass the flight time with a new Rubik's Cube! 💺

A mai nap alkalom arra, hogy együtt ünnepeljük, hogy összetartozunk. Ma és minden nap. ❤️🤍💚

🇭🇺 Today, June 4, on National Unity Day, we remember that although the Treaty of Trianon tore millions away from their homeland, Hungarians living beyond our borders remain an inseparable part of our community, the Hungarian nation.🇭🇺 🕯 Our shared language, culture, and traditions span generations and national borders, creating a bond between us and strengthening our sense of belonging and appreciation for our shared heritage. Today is an occasion for us to celebrate together that we belong together. Today and every day. ❤️🤍💚

🇭🇺🇨🇦 We celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Hungarian United Church of Montreal on the last weekend of May. It was an honour for Ambassador Miklós Lengyel to celebrate this significant milestone with the community. 🇭🇺🇨🇦

🇭🇺🇨🇦 Le dernier weekend de mai, nous avons fêté le centenaire de l'Église unie hongroise de Montréal. Ce fut un honneur pour l'ambassadeur Miklós Lengyel de célébrer cet événement marquant avec la communauté. 🇭🇺🇨🇦

🇭🇺🇨🇦 Stronger together! Deputy Head of Mission Katalin Haás joined the European Union in Canada Ambassador Geneviève Tuts and other 🇪🇺 Ambassadors on a three-day visit to British Columbia. The visit served to strengthen EU-Canada ties in education, trade and innovation. During the visit, the delegation met with Premier David Eby, toured the Port of Vancouver 🚢, visited CAF Base Esquimalt and tech hubs 🛠️, and connected with faculty and students from the University of Victoria and University of British Columbia . 🎓 A special highlight at UBC was visiting the historic Sopron Division 🇭🇺🌲. Following the crushing of the 1956 revolution, UBC welcomed 200 students and 14 professors from Sopron University, who went on to contribute significantly to the UBC Faculty of Forestry — the first of its kind in British Columbia.

🇭🇺🇨🇦 Együtt erősebbek vagyunk! Haás Katalin első beosztott diplomata Geneviève Tuts EUDEL nagykövettel és más 🇪🇺 nagykövetekkel együtt háromnapos látogatáson vett részt Brit-Columbiában. A látogatás célja az EU és Kanada közötti kapcsolatok megerősítése volt az oktatás, a kereskedelem és az innováció területén. A látogatás során a delegáció találkozott David Eby kormányfővel, bejárta a vancouveri kikötőt 🚢, meglátogatta a CAF Esquimalt bázist és technológiai központokat🛠️, valamint találkozott a UVic és az UBC oktatóival és hallgatóival. 🎓 Az UBC-n különleges élményt jelentett a történelmi Soproni Divízió 🇭🇺🌲 meglátogatása. Az 1956-os szabadságharc után az UBC befogadott 200 hallgatót és 14 professzort, akik a Soproni Egyetemről menekültek, és akik jelentősen hozzájárultak az UBC Erdészeti Karának fejlődéséhez, amely az első ilyen jellegű intézmény volt Brit-Columbiában.

🇭🇺🇨🇦 Spring has once again been a busy and vibrant season in the life of the Embassy. 🌷 At the EUFF Short Film Festival, the 🇭🇺 short film Happy People received an enthusiastic reception. 🎬 At the Europe Day reception, our DHoM sang in the choir together with 🇪🇺colleagues and 🇨🇦 The Honourable Anita Anand. 🎶 In mid-May, our colleagues also volunteered at the Tücsök Camp, happily supporting the community and young participants. ☀️

🇭🇺🇨🇦 A tavasz idén is eseménydúsan telt a Nagykövetség életében. 🌷 Az EUFF Rövidfilmfesztiválon a Boldog emberek című magyar rövidfilmet a közönség nagy lelkesedéssel fogadta. 🎬 Az Európa-napi fogadáson első beosztottunk az 🇪🇺 kollégákkal és 🇨🇦 Anita Ananddal külügyminiszterrel közösen énekelt a kórusban. 🎶 Május közepén kollégáink a Tücsök Táborban is önkénteskedtek, örömmel támogatva a magyar közösséget és a fiatal résztvevőket. ☀️

🤝 The Embassy of Hungary was honoured to attend CANSEC 2026, Canada’s premier defence and security event at Ottawa's EY Centre!
🇭🇺🇨🇦 The Hungarian Embassy delegation spent two days exploring cutting-edge aerospace, naval, and land military tech.

His Excellency Miklós Lengyel held key strategy meetings with:
• David Bancroft (VP of Growth Markets, CAE)
• Pietro Mazzei (President & CEO, Rheinmetall Canada)
They discussed key defence initiatives between Hungary, the EU, and Canada, as well as strengthening international partnerships for a safer, more secure future. 🌐
