This week, the Nepean Rideau Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) hosted a well-attended session for our Older Adults 55+ Seniors’ Program, focusing on wellness and preventative education.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Bharti Verma and Barbara Whalen, RN-Primary Health Care, from the Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre who presented to the group. The presentation "Heart to Heart: Heart Health Matters," provided our participants with invaluable insights into cardiovascular health and everyday wellness strategies.

Empowering our local seniors through education and social connection is at the core of what we do. Thank you to our partners at Pinecrest-Queensway CHC for their continued dedication to community health.

True community happens when we create inclusive spaces for everyone to share their unique voices.

Last Friday, our Common Grounds monthly program met to celebrate the incredible talents of neurodiverse adults in our community including music and guitar performances. it was an inspiring evening filled with creativity and mutual support.

Programs like Common Grounds remind us of the power of connection and the importance of fostering safe, expressive spaces. A huge thank you to all of our performers and participants!
