The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada has learned this morning, Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, that Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, UN Messenger of Peace and Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, has passed away due to natural causes.

She was in California as part of her speaking tour in the United States.

Dr. Goodall's discoveries as an ethologist revolutionized science and she was a tireless advocate for the protection and restoration of our natural world.

The is coming to Ottawa Sep 29 - Oct 5. For those who usually drive, it is a chance to experience the other mobility modes available to you. For those who take or who or , it is a chance to advocate for a city where it is easier, more reliable and more enjoyable to get around outside a car.
