With winter coming - please think twice about sending your child to school or to a playground with a scarf. Use neck warmers instead. Scarves and hoodies with strings are a real hazard on playground equipment.

This is why I do what I do - to try and prevent these types of tragic injuries. It is always a source of frustration for me that many organizations that own playgrounds don't take the maintenance seriously and unfortunately it will take an injury like this to have them realize the importance of maintenance. This story is from the US, but what happens across the border is also happening here in Canada.
