Our recently released 616 Forearm shield, designed by , was recently discovered by none other than former MMA middleweight champion fighter, Mr Cung Le . By Cung’s own testimony, based on his extensive and venerable martial art history, he instantly recognized the capabilities and purpose behind the design of the 616. We made sure Cung got a shield in his hands ASAP, and he had it at the range immediately after. The 616 shield is one of the most unique items to grace the tactical field in a long time. One of the latest additions to come from our tested and proven technology. ••• Posted ••• Testing went as awesome as I had hoped. Not only did we pass our initial tests, but we passed at a higher standard than we anticipated. We will be submitting samples for external independent certification next.... utilizing the same patented ballistic technology developed for , I got to work with to design, fabricate and test my next featured product. For the operator that has to worry about every step they take... PS. That’s all of us... I bring the latest in footwear safety. A membrane that lines between your insole and your shoe, giving you puncture resistance where you’re going to feel it last. Here I’m wearing my OTB maritime “Tactical Chucks”. I have been wearing these shoes almost-daily, for over a year. They’re my most favorite shoe as of late, but they alway lacked that one added “tactical” feature. The soles are so soft that I can feel everything I step on. I always had to be mindful for sharp hazards in these shoes. Today’s test was to see how the membrane would fare against a nail, and even a bullet. Using a 2x4 and a 4” nail, a weapon worthy of slaying zombies, I was barely able to do more than a scratch to a single membrane. Shooting the liner at close range, with a G17, loaded with 115gr FMJ, I stopped the bullet between just a couple layers. This product wasn’t designed with the intention of being a ballistic barrier, but there it is. I have LOTS of testing to go through still. This could quite possibly be the necessary accessory needed for every pair of shoes we own. Every firefighter and cop, every carpenter and roofer, every forestry service and or junkyard picker... anyone who risks where they land each step. I’ll keep you all advised of our progress.
